RUSSIANS CONFIRM: ‘THERE WERE CONTACTS’ : Russia Says It Was In Touch With Trump Campaign During The Election

“There were contacts,” Interfax news agency cited Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov as saying.

MOSCOW, Nov 10 (Reuters) – The Russian government was in touch with members of President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign staff during the U.S. election campaign, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told the Interfax news agency on Thursday.

“There were contacts,” Interfax cited Ryabkov as saying. He did not give details.

When asked whether these contacts would now intensify after Trump’s election victory, Ryabkov said: “These working moments and follow-up on this or that matter will depend on the situation and the questions which face us. But we will of course continue this work after the elections.”

Defeated Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton accused Trump of being a “puppet” of President Vladimir Putin during the campaign, and U.S. officials said Russia had hacked into Democratic party emails, something Moscow denied.

Trump has said he might meet Putin before his inauguration, but Putin’s spokesman has said there are currently no plans for such a meeting.

The Russian parliament erupted in applause on Wednesday when it heard that Trump had been elected and Putin told foreign ambassadors he was ready to fully restore ties with Washington.

Ryabkov was more circumspect in his interview, saying the Russian Foreign Ministry felt no euphoria about the Republican’s win even though it wanted to normalize relations with Washington.

Ryabkov said Trump’s allies had made some tough statements about Russia during the campaign and that his ministry was therefore not harboring any rose-tinted hopes.

“We are not expecting anything in particular from the new U.S. administration,” Interfax cited Ryabkov as saying.

  1. Dear Sheila and friends,
This is a call to arms! And I am asking fellow bloggers for a favor.

I am just beginning my research into the voting machine. It is worse than you think. The two major owners of companies that build many of the voting machines are republicans. These machines can be manually manipulated to produce certain results, Imagine these machines in the hands of knowledgeable peoples in heavy republican voting districts. If you Google voting machines, there are pages of articles on this subject.

This is the shout out: Please take time to view an Emmy nominated HBO documentary and then provide me with feedback. The featured film is titled. “Hacking Democracy.”

    Hugs, Gronda

    1. If there was voting machine fraud, how could Mrs. Clinton have won the popular vote? While I have no illusions there have been manipulations by the two main suppliers of machine in states like Ohio in particular, sadly I think the real crime is Clinton did not match the number of votes Obama tallied in either 2008 or 2012. Far to many of those voters were seduced by lies, fear and bigotry.

      1. Dear Tails Around the Ranch,

Welcome! I can’t and won’t state that HRC lost because of voter fraud without proof.

What I am concerned about is that the possibility is real. There are pages of info as to how this can be done by tinkering with the voting machines on Google. The experts are saying this could happen without us ever being the wiser.

Personally, I would like this addressed and fixed by the next election cycle. If you can take time to view the Emmy nominated HBO documentary, Hacking Democracy, I highly recommend it.

Thanks for stopping by and Best Wishes, Gronda

        1. Gronda, While I respect your opinion on this issue and may even agree that tampering is possible, just because something can occur, doesn’t necessarily mean it will. I might get run over if I leave my house, but changes are equally in favor of me running an errand and coming home safely. This past election did teach me one thing, that being lies, fear and bigotry have no place in our elections.

          1. Dear Talk Around the Ranch,

When I first heard DT complaining about the possibility of a rigged election, I totally discounted him. .I thought this was a tactic orchestrated by him and the RNC to depress the vote.
I didn’t give his complaints a 2nd thought until I took time to do my own homework on the subject. I now have changed my tune. I have this thing about taking time to separate the message from the messenger.

In my first blog on the issue of voter fraud, I list some of my research references. Here’s the link:ALERT: There Is No Way Donald Trump Won The Hispanic Vote By 29% (The Bubble).

Otherwise this is a site were it is okay to agree to disagree respectfully.

            Ciao, Gronda

      1. Ted, it’s far from over. Putin is a master manipulator and Trump is a dunce in comparison. This is Putin’s chance to manipulate the USA like a puppet because that dense SOB trump will see it as a “friendship” with Putin. NOT!
