  1. Unfortunately, VOX is exactly right about the often unpleasant changes freeways can make to the structure of life in urban neighborhoods.
    Having been around for more than 8 decades, I am old enough to remember how some of those neighborhoods were, as opposed to how they are now. You can get closer to some of the “Good Old Days” atmosphere by visiting a small city that the freeways have bypassed.
