ACORN Stole the Election For Democrats – Really!

Republican Elephant – Loser http://mariopiperni.com/

Mario Piperni

Life in the bubble continues undeterred for Republicans. They’re refusing to accept the truth that they lost the election for the simple reason that a majority of Americans did not accept their vision for the country. Here are the bubble numbers from the latest PPP poll:

49% of GOP voters nationally say they think that ACORN stole the election for President Obama. We found that 52% of Republicans thought that ACORN stole the 2008 election for Obama, so this is a modest decline, but perhaps smaller than might have been expected given that ACORN doesn’t exist anymore.

Damn. Despite ACORN’s best efforts to keep their existence a secret, they’ve been found out by right-wing idiots sleuths who know in their little hearts that God’s Party could never lose an election to a group that promotes hedonism and attracts the slackers and scum of society unless there was thievery involved. </snark>

Categorize the above numbers with the ones that indicate that 30 percent of Republicans still believe President Obama to be a Muslim…or the polls that show that more than half of Republicans believe that Obama was born in a foreign country.

Pathetic, but only slightly less so than this next set of numbers.

Some GOP voters are so unhappy with the outcome that they no longer care to be a part of the United States. 25% of Republicans say they would like their state to secede from the union compared to 56% who want to stay and 19% who aren’t sure.

Is it any surprise that the same PPP poll indicates that fewer Americans now identify themselves as Republicans than Democrats by a 13 point margin: 32 percent of Americans call themselves Republican compared to the 45 percent who identify themselves as Democrats.

Maybe there is hope out there.

Nearly Half Of Mississippi Republicans Think Interracial Marriage Should Be Illegal

Mississippians are obviously looking to go way back to a simpler place and time in history.

TPMDC

Americans nationwide are evenly divided over the issue of same sex marriage. But Republicans in Mississippi are divided over a wholly different wedlock issue: interracial marriage.

In a PPP poll released Thursday, a 46% plurality of registered Republican voters said they thought interracial marriage was not just wrong, but that it should be illegal. 40% said interracial marriage should be legal.

Gov. Haley Barbour, with a home state advantage in Mississippi, also topped PPP’s survey of the GOP primary field at 37%, followed by Mike Huckabee at 19%, and Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich at 10%.

The poll also found that voters who thought interracial marriage should be banned liked Barbour, Palin, and Huckabee the most among the slate of potential GOP presidential candidates. Seventy-nine percent of those voters said they approved of Gov. Barbour’s job performance, while 74% said they had a favorable opinion of Sarah Palin, and 73% viewed Huckabee favorably.

In February, a Gallup poll found that Mississippi was the most conservative state in the nation. In that survey, 50.0% of adults identified themselves as conservatives.

The PPP poll was conducted March 24-27 among 400 registered Republican voters. It has a margin of error of 4.9%.

Fox News Not Trustworthy Americans Say

Oh my! Is our country finally waking up from this national media nightmare?

News Hounds

A new poll finds that trust in Fox News is slipping. Whereas a plurality of respondents last year found Fox the most trusted television news network in the U.S., this year, a plurality find it untrustworthy. To add insult to injury – sit down, Roger Ailes and Bill O’Reilly – PBS is now the most trusted.

Raw Story  reports,

In a survey taken a year ago, PPP found that Fox was the most trusted news network, with 49 percent saying they trusted the network, and 37 percent saying they did not. In the new poll, 42 percent said they trusted the network while 46 percent disagreed

….PPP notes that trust in the network declined only marginally among conservatives, from 75 percent to 72 percent. “But moderates and liberals have both had a strong increase in their level of distrust for the network — a 12-point gain from 48 percent to 60 percent for moderates and a 16-point gain from 66 percent to 82 percent for liberals,” the institute reported.

The new reigning champion is PBS, which was not included in last year’s inaugural poll. The public broadcaster was found to be trusted by 50 percent of respondents, and distrusted by 30 percent — the closest any news network has come to gaining the trust of a majority of Americans.
