Herman Cain: Stupid People Are Ruining America

I hope he’s including himself among the “stupid people” and thank heavens he’s not running America…

Liberaland

Herman “9-9-9″ Cain says there are too many stupid people here who are ruining the country by voting.

Cain pointed out that only 58% of registered voter actually voted in the last presidential election. “What about the 42% that stay at home?” he asked.

He’s not so sure they should be voting in the first place. “I have even heard people say, ‘Well, I don’t vote because I don’t know what’s going on,’” Cain remarked. “And I say ‘good!’ Stupid people are ruining America and I’m glad some of a them stay home.”

“Those of us that are informed have to out-vote the stupid people,” he continued as the crowd applauded. “And you have got to become ambassadors of  intelligence, ambassadors of information. So number one, stay informed!”

The David Pakman Show – Herman Cain: Obama Voters Have ‘Severe Ignorance Problem’ (VIDEO)

This is obviously a case of projection on Mr. Cain’s part…

Addicting Info

From the David Pakman Show

Herman Cain is a new voice on Fox News. His comments seem to make him a worthy replacement for Sarah Palin, matching the obtuseness she often offered.

For example, when asked in an interview with Bill O’Reilly why President Obama is so popular, he responded along the lines of (as David paraphrases):

“We have a severe ignorance problem and he received the vote of 51% of the electorate who were misled enough to vote for him.”

Of course, as David points out, all of the facts contradict this assertion, but why argue with truth?

David shares segments of the O’Reilly/Cain interview and discusses the disconnect that continues in the way Fox, and the right in general, view the true mood of America.

Rep. Allen West Tries To Walk Back Telling Obama To ‘Get The Hell Out’: ‘I Did Not Refer To Any Person Leaving’

I have no idea why Black Republicans seem to be so self-loathing and misguided, but they do.

Allen West and Herman Cain are good examples of  members of the GOP who see and hear racist rhetoric against the POTUS, the poor and middle class working people.  Yet they side with those who would denigrate people of their own race, regardless of their station in life.

The President is a Harvard graduate who worked hard to get to where he is today, yet the main objective of the GOP is not just to make him a “one term president”, but to castrate him in the process and West and Cain are contributing with their “yes sir boss, we got him by the short hairs now, boss” attitude.

Metaphorically speaking, it sickens me to no end to see in this day and age, with the history Blacks have amassed, that there are still some “house negroes” that would do anything to please their master.

Think Progress

Rep. Allen West (R-FL) once again sparked controversy with a demagogic speech in Florida this past weekend where he demanded that liberals and President Obama “get the hell out of the United States of America.” Now, West is engaged in a rapid backpedal, appearing both on CNN and Fox this morning to insist that what he said is not actually what he said.

On CNN, West demanded that a skeptical host Soledad O’Brien view the entire speech an realize that “he was simply trying to draw attention to the decline of a country” at the hands of people who hold values that are “not in concert with our constitutional republic.” “And if you can’t understand that,” he added, “please come down to South Florida, you and I can read the Federalist Papers.” Later on Fox and Friends, West told host Steve Doocy, “I did not refer to any person leaving”:

WEST: The other thing is that I did not refer to any person leaving. If you go back and read the transcript of the message that I gave, it was about equality of achievement, it was about economic dependence, it was about enslaving the American entrepreneur’s will and spirit. That message needs to leave this country. And that was what I was referring to. And I think that anyone that sat back and looked at the entirety of that 12 minute, 45 second speech would understand that we’re talking about a contrast of visions of this country.

Watch both interviews:

Looking back at the transcript as requested, it’s pretty clear that West specifically named “President Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and my dear friend, the chairman of the Democrat National Committee [Debbie Wasserman-Schultz]” to “take it to the North Pole, but get the hell out of the United States.”

Nonetheless, West has made a practice of lobbing incendiary rhetoric across the aisle and thenblaming the news media for the resulting backlash. Reacting to Fox pundit Bob Beckel’s demand that West apologize, a somewhat thin-skinned West shot back, “I think Bob Beckel owes me an apology for saying that he would not refer to me as a congressional representative nor as a lieutenant colonel, retired.”

Herman Cain: The liberal media forced me out of the race

Herman Cain got it wrong, the “liberal media” would have loved for Cain to be the nominee.  His “pals” Newt, Rick and Willard forced him out.

Bye-bye Mr. Cain, now go away quietly, please.

Democratic Underground

Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain told a conference call of tea party activists on Sunday night that it was the liberal media that forced him out of the 2012 presidential race.

“I am as broken hearted as others about having to pull out,” Cain said, “but I couldn’t continue to try and run a race when you have a liberal media and others who did not want to see me succeed and to see us succeed — constantly fighting false accusations.”

Cain suspended his campaign for president following a series of news stories about women who accused him of harassment and infidelity dating back to the 1990s.

He made the comments as an introductory speaker on a tele-forum with activists associated with the Tea Party Patriots organization.

Herman Cain Goes Down Swinging The Stupid Stick As He Quits The GOP Race

Politics USA nails it, in my opinion.

Herman Cain’s propensity for evading the truth has made him look like a buffoon on more than one occasion.  We are now witnessing the last throes of that buffoonery.

Politics USA

While quitting the race for the 2012 nomination, Herman Cain seemed not to be aware of how presidential elections actually work.

See the video from MSNBC …

Taking a page from his political role model Sarah Palin, Cain claimed to be a fighter while he was quitting, “As of today, with a lot of prayer and soul searching, I am suspending my presidential campaign. I am suspending my presidential campaign because of the continued distraction, the continued hurt caused on me and my family. Not because we are not fighters.”

Just like any good right wing media star wanna be, Cain denied that he has done anything wrong, “As false accusations continue, they have sidetracked my ability to present solutions to the American people.”

Herb went down swinging the stupid stick by claiming that he made the “Final Four” for the presidency, but how can he make the final four when he quit before the first primary and caucus? Herman also doesn’t seem to be aware that the winner of the Republican nomination doesn’t get to be president. There is this thing called a general election in November where the Republican nominee will have to defeat Barack Obama before they can take up residence in the White House.

Rick Perry didn’t know the voting age and date of the election and Herman Cain doesn’t seem to know how elections actually work.

Herman Cain essentially claimed that the media hurt his feelings by reporting on his mistress and history of sexual harassment, so he decided to take his ball and go home. Cain repeatedly called the allegations against him false, but if the allegations are false why did quit? Someone needs to explain to Herb that falsely accused people don’t quit.

The real reasons why Can quit was because the allegations are true, his poll numbers plummeted, and his fundraising has dried up.

The ‘unbelievably creepy’ ‘Women for Cain’ website: The wisecracks

Conservative women for Cain gone wild?

The WEEK

In a last-ditch effort, Team Cain launches a site meant to attract female voters, but its harsh testimonials and cheesy stock photos draw ridicule instead

Best Opinion:  LGF, Forbes, New York…

GOP presidential hopeful Herman Cain, dogged by allegations of a 13-year affair and multiple sexual harassment claims, is expected to announce as soon as Saturday whether he’ll drop out of the race. Meanwhile, the Cain campaign has taken the strange step of launching a special “Women for Cain” sectionon its website, purportedly chaired by Cain’s little-seen wife, Gloria. Under a stock photo of four exuberant young ladies giving a “thumbs up,” the mini-site features testimonials by women who support Cain. Some lash out at the candidate’s accusers. “Dear Mrs. Cain, Don’t pay attention to these pathetic husband-less women who are jealous of women like you in happy long-term marriages,” one supporter reportedly wrote in a post that has since been removed. “These vindictive women can’t find a husband or keep one.” Predictably enough, “Women for Cain” has commentators cracking wise:

Mission statement
It’s fascinating to see women “support” Cain at this “unbelievably creepy” website, says Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs. “And by ‘support,’ I mean ‘viciously attack Cain’s female accusers.'”

Just to clarify
“Women for Cain” is “a group not affiliated with Women Making Allegations About Herman Cain,” right, asks Richard Hyfler at Forbes.

9-9-9
“First of all, ‘Women for Cain’ sounds like Herman Cain’s personal dating service,” says Gonzalo Cordova at Comedy Central’s Indecision blog. “Second of all, the site contains 35 testimonials from women who support Herman Cain — Why not nine?” This is a “rare numbers-related miss, Herman.”

Looking good
“The design decision to use a carefully selected stock photo entitled, ‘Four happy young women holding their thumbs up,’ only reinforces that visceral Cain aura of thoughtful advocacy on behalf of womankind everywhere,” says Noreen Malone at New York.

Contact information
“Oh look! Herman Cain has launched an adorable purply website  for the ladies where they can write in and say flattering things about their favorite sex creep,” says Kirsten Boyd Johnson at Wonkette. “Don”t forget to include your picture, where you live and your email address while you’re at it, ladies!… Herman Cain’s little black book has been getting a little thin these days!”

Watch out
The candidate is reportedly going home for a “kitchen summit” with his wife, says Rumproast. And while his wife is supposedly behind “Women for Cain,” really, “if I were Herman, I’d hide the knives, rolling pin, and garlic crusher before starting in.”

Herman Cain Used the Affirmative Action He Decries to Advance

The Daily Beast

Before we heard about Herman Cain’s 4 a.m. call to Ginger White, there was George Clooney’s in Ides of March, the fall film that featured a presidential candidate making a 2:30 a.m. call to the intern, who was in the sack with one of Clooney’s top aides.

We all also remember Hillary’s 3 a.m. phone call ad in 2008, so we’re now in the midst of our third presidential election cycle, two of them real, dominated by early morning siren calls that test White House mettle.

But the mystery of Herman Cain is not whether Ginger White’s phone records will finally disconnect him from his 999 area code.

The reason we should all still care about this soon-to-be Invisible Man is the odd GOP phobia that caused his surge in the first place. How he became the biggest Mr. October since Reggie Jackson is a window into the psychosis gripping a party that, in a year, may be ruling all of Washington.

Essentially unemployed since he left the National Restaurant Association in 1999, confounded by Libya, a blogger who insisted there was no 2008 recession as late as that September, Cain nonetheless climbed to the top of the national, Iowa, and South Carolina polls and stayed there until the second week of November. The pizza man even delivered big wins in the Florida and Georgia straw polls. And when four women charged that he took his role as the head of the hospitality industry a bit too seriously, he brushed civil settlements aside as if they weren’t on his tab and still stalked the White House.

Ann Coulter, the poet of the party, explained it best, as usual.

In a careful and dispassionate treatise on race that Coulter performed on Sean Hannity’s show on November 1, just as the first sexual harassment charges emerged, Coulter found the words that would set the rise of Herman Cain to music. “Our blacks are so much better than their blacks,” she hummed, adding that Obama was only “half-black,” and that half could also be discounted because he is “the son of a Kenyan.” Obama, Coulter lectured, “is not the son, the grandson, of American blacks who went through the American experience. That is Herman Cain.” Cain had, in Coulter’s view “many wonderful qualities” but the same Democrats who “used to do lynching with ropes” were now doing it with “word processors” and were telling “vicious” lies to bring down a conservative black, just like they tried to do with Clarence Thomas.

The Cain phenomenon was a spectacular explosion of Obama obsession, a frenzied attempt by a party of white male elites to demonstrate that it has blacks that aren’t merely dancing extras at a Republican National Convention, à la 2004. Trashtalking Herman with his ballyhooed claim that Democrats had “brainwashed” blacks could, with one long smile, put a fake face on a party that included 36 black delegates (1.5 percent) at its 2008 convention, the lowest representation since the year Martin Luther King Jr. was killed.

The Last Word – Ginger White apologizes to Cain’s wife

The Last Word – MSNBC

See Video here…

Ginger White said Thursday she was “deeply sorry” for any pain she might have caused Gloria Cain or her family.  The Atlanta woman, who alleged carrying on an affair with presidential candidate Herman Cain, made the apology during an exclusive interview with MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell.

“My heart bleeds for this woman because I am a woman and being in a situation like this cannot be fun. And I am deeply, deeply sorry if I have caused any hurt to her and to his kids, to his family,” said White, a mother of two. “I never wanted to hurt anyone and I’m deeply sorry.

“When initially asked if she had a message for Cain’s wife, she replied “no comment.”

White said that’s the first time she was ever asked that question, and it took her “aback.”White, who described Cain as an “intelligent” and “fun-loving” guy, said their relationship offered her a “getaway” from the normal “hustle and bustle” of daily life.

She said the presidential candidate gave her cash payments during their alleged 13-year affair though, she declined to give the exact amount to MSNBC.

White also said she did not take any money to come forward with her story. “This has never been political,” she said. “This has been a very, very difficult situation for me, for my family, his family. It’s been very tough.”

Cain’s Camp: ‘We Want A Virgin To Do A Hooker’s Job’

Huh?

The Huffington Post

Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain’s Arizona state chairman defended him against allegations that he had a 13-year affair with Atlanta businesswoman Ginger White.

Lori Klein, an Arizona state Senator, told CBS News that she has known him for 12 years and he’s “never been anything but a gentleman — and I am not an unattractive woman.”  She added that in politics, “we want a virgin to do a hooker’s job.” She also said that if Cain is innocent, he should sue White for libel.

White claimed a thirteen-year affair with Cain in a report released by Fox 5 Atlanta on Monday. She said she knew that he was married and described the relationship as “fun” and “exciting” but was aware that she was involved in a”very inappropriate situation.” Cain denied the relationship, saying that White “is an acquaintance that I thought was a friend.” Cain has also denied multiple allegations of sexual harassment in the past month.

Cain told his staff on Tuesday that he is reassessing his candidacy in the wake of the allegations and will make a decision on whether to remain in the race in the next several days.

Last July, Klein took a pink handgun out of her purse and pointed it at the chest of Arizona Republicreporter Richard Ruelas. “Oh, it’s so cute,” she said before aiming it at him to show off the red beam of the laser sight. The gun has no safety, but Klein said that she didn’t have her hand on the trigger.

HUFFINGTON POST CLARIFICATION: This article has clarified the language regarding Lori Klein’s defense of Herman Cain and allegations that he conducted an affair with Ginger White.

Cain Flubs Libya Again, Claims ‘Taliban’ Has Taken Control

One has to wonder if Herman Cain is really that stupid…

Think Progress

At a press conference in Florida today, GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain — whose foreign policy maxim is “peace through strength and clarity” — attempted to clarify his stance on Libya following his epic whiffing of a question on the country this week.

Unfortunately for the former pizza executive, he only muddled things further today. First he attempted to blame the interviewer for not being “specific” enough and for supposedly selectively editing Cain’s response. (Over five uncut minutes of his remarks are visible on the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel’s website.) Then, Cain erroneously claimed that the Taliban has taken control in Libya:

Do I agree with siding with the opposition? Do I agree with saying that Qadhafi should go? Do I agree that they now have a country where you’ve got Taliban and Al Qaeda that’s going to be part of the government? … Do I agree with not knowing the government was going to — which part was he asking me about? I was trying to get him to be specific and he wouldn’t be specific.

Watch it:

Of course, the Taliban exists in Afghanistan and Pakistan, not Libya.
