Herman Cain’s brief moment in the Republican sun was manufactured precisely for the purpose of countering the perception that Republican racism was behind their attacks on Obama.

If our Democratic president were “White” Cain would still be delivering pizza.

Very well stated, LTL. However, I have to counter with the fact that they had that idiot Herman Cain as a front-runner at one point. I guess it was a case of “ANYONE BUT OBAMA” syndrome. But he turned out to be dumber than a pile of bricks so that was that.

LTL, I've been preparing for that worst case scenario since the beginning of the year. I've updated Sinclair Watch several times and started re-posting the important articles. That's why he wrote that furious, nasty piece about me. Apparently it worked (thusfar) because those doing oppo-research on him have apparently concluded that he's "a fry short...of a Happy Meal". I see no other reason for the tirade, unless major campaigns and news organizations rejected him after reading the well documented website dedicated to his lies and deception. Remember, Chris Matthews called him "some nut" when he tried to use his portable loud speaker to "sell" his story to mainstream media outside of the 2004 Democratic convention. LTL, I think the Romney campaign has decided he's more a liability than an asset, given his four year history of epitomizing the term: CRAZY!

The Conservatives have been conquered, their party has taken over by the Corporatist, in a pact with the Theocrats, and the Objectivist.”

That just about sums it up, K. For much of the Republican constituency the removal of President Obama would restore something extremely valuable to them – something they took for granted and lived with all their lives – the sense of satisfaction, security and privilege from merely being “White” in America and the reassurance that a “Black” man is inherently inadequate for the job of President.
