Thanks to The Conservative Lie. I love this!
The Conservative Lie
Unlike Republicant perverts, Weiner did not drag his wife out in a show of “support”. Weiner apologised for “the embarrassment” that he caused and declared that he hoped to continue to fight for the causes dear to his constituents.
Republicants who have had numerous affairs with everything from animals to underage page boys, tend to get re-packaged for a Presidential campaign.
Liberal members of Congress, who never preach their morality over others do not get such leeway.
Weiner said “I make this apology to my neighbours and my constituents, but I make it particularly to my wife, Huma.”
Republicant Newt Ginrich who preaches morality for all but not for thee, in contrast told his cancer stricken wife – I divorce you for a younger fitter model.
Weiner declared he was resigning “so my colleagues can get back to work, my neighbours can choose a new representative and, most importantly, that my wife and I can continue to heal from the damage I have caused”
Republicant Mark Foley was at the same stage busy texting underage boys despite working on the committee to protect children.
Larry Craig was busy measuring bathroom stalls for his “wide stance”.
While we may joke, while we may laugh, I will miss the voice of Weiner in Congress, who to me had become more important after the gerrymandered loss of Rep Grayson.
Today, I am sad but Rep. Weiner has done the right thing. I feel for his family.
I hope he is and feels able to return to politics before too long. I for one will miss his voice.

Weiner LIED!! He did not own up to his mistake until there was too much evidence that his lies would not cover it anymore.
So let me see if I get you stance. You do not care if your rep sleeps around and cheats on their significant others as long as they do not support family values in their campaign?
Let ME get this straight, YOU do not care if GOP members of the Congress or Senate who espouse FAMILY VALUES, but have actual sex outside of their marriages and STAY in the senate or congress until their constituents vote them out? YOU do not care that GOP members of congress or the senate break all sorts of laws (while espousing family values and “honest” leadership values)?
Your screed actually sounds like you’re talking about Vitter or Ensign or Foley. Weiner, to his credit did NOT have actual sex with those women. He could have, but chose not to, which in MY book tells more about HIS character than it does your “family values” boys!
AND, btw he broke no laws! One last thing, the article that you are bashing me for was actually written by someone else. Perhaps if you click the link before the article, you’ll see who wrote it. :::Wondering to myself…are conservatives THAT stupid?:::

What did I say that made you think that?
“AND, btw he broke no laws!” Never said he did. I condemn him for openly lying about exposing himself to girls on twitter.
“AND, btw he broke no laws! One last thing, the article that you are bashing me for was actually written by someone else.” and posted on your blog. If you do not agree with the article you should have said something.
So let me ask one more time…
Is it your stance that you do not care if your rep sleeps around and cheats on their significant others as long as they do not support family values in their campaign?
I must once again refer you to the original post. The actual post is from another blog. I did not author the post…I only shared it with others.
Thats fine. Now I am asking you. Are you ok with your elected reps having sex with someone that is not their spouse as long as they do not claim to a “family values” candidate?
That’s like asking me “are you ok with beating your kids?” There is a pre-disposed assumption by you that I am ok with elected reps being…uh…elected reps.
LOL. In my opinion Rep. Weiner did not have sex with anyone of the six women he tweeted. I’m sure he could have arranged meetings with them and actually
had sex with them, but apparently even in his weakest moments, there was still a thread of moral fiber there that stopped him from having sex with them.
So perhaps my definition of “sex” which is actual intercourse between two people differs from your definition of sex. Therein lies the problem.
If you do not approve of our reps being elected, how do you propose reps be appointed or do you think we need to get rid of them all?
I do not accuse Weiner of having extramarital relations. I condemn him for lying so easily to the American people. And I believe that his credibility has been wiped out and he can no longer properly represent the people of NY.
“So perhaps my definition of “sex” which is actual intercourse between two people differs from your definition of sex. Therein lies the problem.” Strawmen arguments are so old hat, try to be original.
If you are willing to have an intelligent conversation I would ask your thought on something. Do you think it is ok for an elected public servant to engage in extramarital relations as long as they do not run on “family values” to get elected?
Also, do you hold Democrats to a lower moral standard than republicans because of their perceived “moral superiority” campaigns?
“If you are willing to have an intelligent conversation I would ask your thought on something.”
C’mon. Is that necessary to make your point?
