Former Sen. Al D’Amato To GOP Guest: “Shut Up, I Listened To Your Racist Bullsh*t”

Former NY Senator Alphonse D’Amato is a Republican.  However, keep in mind that when D’Amato was in office, defining a republican back then is like defining a moderate today…

Things got a little heated on FBN’s Money Rocks last night while talking about the post office.

After GOP strategist Jack Burkman suggested the government organization consisted of unskilled Nigerians, former NY Sen. Al D’Amato called this argument “racist” and started dropping BS’s – uncensored.

I’m still not sure why the post office segment got everyone so fired up, but it definitely did. Burkman said “most of these guys working in the post office should be driving cabs,” and that they are “like a thing for ceremonial and memorial waste.”

At first, D’Amato held back. “Jack could have done well without all the name calling,” he said, although agreeing “it probably should be privatized.”

But after Burkman reiterated his ‘unskilled Nigerians’ argument, D’Amato went in for the kill. “You are a nasty racist,” he said. “That’s a bunch of bullshit. And you should be ashamed of yourself and have your mouth washed out. What the hell are you talking about?”

After Burkman tried interrupting: “Shut up, I listened to your racist bullshit.” Check out the video below for one bonus ‘bullshit’ comment!

Host Eric Bolling summed it up. “We kind of went postal on that segment,” he said. Money Rocks is a taped show, so it’s not clear why the BS’s weren’t bleeped. But it makes for a great video!

Check it out (the fun begins around the 4:30 mark, but the, uh, “racist bullshit” starts earlier):

Way to go, Alphonse! He is one guy I couldn’t stand when he was in the public eye more, but you gotta love it when the GOPers stand up for decent people and say they have had enough of the racist BS!

Sen. D’Amato deserves a lot of credit for stand up to this divisive BS and calling it what it is. We need more people like him. It would have been great to have him as the Republican candidate for Govenor. That way the people of NY would have been esposed to an enlightened and informed discussion of the issues and proposed solutions, not simply racist rhetoric demonizing one side without offering ANY proposed alternatives themselvs.

  3. Burkman wasn’t claiming that the postal workers were Nigerians and Ethiopians. He was saying that we should turn the postal workers into cab drivers since their job skills are no greater than the African immigrant who drive cabs now. I assume he thinks that we could also turn them into landscapers and intinerant farm workers to replace Hispanic immigrants. I thought the most interesting part of the segment was Burkman’s comment at the end: “If you want to have the debate, the reality is that many in the American quote-unquote middle, like postal workers, are really unskilled labor who should have been pushed down for market reasons but because of union and government pressures, we import labor at the bottom and we keep these people here, that’s a very true statement.” Talk about your “class warfare.”

    • Burkman wasn’t claiming that the postal workers were Nigerians and Ethiopians. He was saying that we should turn the postal workers into cab drivers since their job skills are no greater than the African immigrant who drive cabs now.

Vinny, perhaps Burkman didn’t claim that postal workers were “Nigerians and Ethiopians” but the inference was plain as ever: Unskilled minorities are expendable so we can get rid of government run facilities that employ them, such as the US Postal Services.

I’m sorry Vinny, but the racist “undertones” were glaring. D’Amato was right.

      • I didn’t mean to suggest that Burkman was anything but a racist or that D’Amato got that wrong. I just wanted to clarify the “class warfare” angle. Burkman doesn’t seem to think that people at that skill level should expect to be able to provide for their families, obtain decent healthcare, or hope to retire in anything better than abject poverty. He thinks they should be “pushed down” to driving a cab for eighty hours a week to survive.

  4. Ahh, now I understand, Vinny. I agree with you totally.

wow u guys sure miss the point. The point is the fed unionists r destroying our country and bankrupting the private sector.Calling people a racist for even mentioning a third world countries labour and educational short comings says more about all u then him.I personally agree that we do import unskilled workers that r unneeded. We do allow incompetent and incapable people to get promoted instead of fired and it costs us alot of money to do so.The sooner u all read darwin’s theories on the superiority of a race do to evolutionary theory the sooner u will learn that what we call racism now is nothing but the stifling of free thought the better u all will be.Cast off the shackles of thought control guys read talk and dont call names at people we will all be better off comunicating instead of yelling at each other like that senator did truly a sad display of a suposed leader iv seen since obama.
