Those of us on the left need to get over our pout about not getting everything we wanted in the healthcare bill. The righties are sensing weakness and gearing up to go for the kill.

I have lots more examples but I won’t load this comment down with links. Hillbuzz has dropped all pretense of being Democrats and are recruiting right wing activists, Fox News is promoting Jane Hamsher’s petition, freeper trolls are flooding the leftwing blogs under new user names claiming to be outraged liberals.

We have to get behind the Congress and the President and get this bill passed.

I’m with you, Glix. I personally would go for single payer. I think it would be cheapest, most efficient, and the way to go, but we can’t even get the public option. I don’t know how these critics expect to get 60 votes for the public option. I really don’t. I do know that the bill in it’s current form at the very least will assure my three sons of health coverage for the next few years and that’s a good works for me. I guess we’ll just have to see what happens with costs. One side says they’ll just suck us dry with premiums and the other side says the increased pool will bring costs down. The CBO says it’s a savings, but they have to make assumptions. Anyone who has done financial forecasting will know that it’s a shaky deal….many variables, very hard to do well. I have to say that listening to Nate Silver always helps….LOL. He’s the “God of predictions” and he seems to think we should take what we can get at this point.

Glix and Demo, I’m in agreement. To paraphrase an old song: If you can’t have the bill you want, love the bill you have. LOL
