Remembering JFK

I was sitting in the pediatrician’s office with my then, four month old son when the news came over the music system.  “John F. Kennedy has been shot in Dallas, Texas.  We will keep you informed as more information comes in.”  That was 1:30p.m. est, November 22, 1963.   That was 46 years ago.

In my lifetime, I can recall two major events that most everyone knew where they were or what they were doing, when it occured; The Death of JFK and 9/11.

For those who were not around back then, here’s a compilation  showing JFK’s humor:

    KStreet,

I was alive, but only an infant when Kennedy was shot in Dallas, so I do not remember it.

The Country lost a good man when John Kennedy was shot. He should always be remembered.

I was 17 years old. My oldest son, who is now 46, was just an infant as well. We will never know JFK’s greatness outside of his masterful handling the October 1962 showdown with Cuba and Russia, known as “The Cuban Missile Crisis”
