During the Bush years, a time when “real news reporting” was “out to lunch”, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report seemed to be the only place one could go to find “real news”, although they were political comedy shows.
Fox News was the White House propaganda tool, other networks wanted Fox News’ ratings, so they emulated Fox by, among other things, not reporting on the Iraq War, The Patriot Act, rendition, etc. It appeared the news media had misinformed, manipulated and misled us during the Bush era.
Fox News has decided to continue their one sided reporting during the current administration, but this time, its no longer an advocate of an administration, it is now an adversary of the current administration.
John Stewart and Stephen Colbert seemed to be the only place for a little satirical comedy with a heavy dose of REAL news in the mix. They have continued to do so, long after the Bush Administration left office. This video is a must see. (Sorry could not embed the video for some reason.)
“Fox News has decided to continue their one sided reporting during the current administration, but this time, its no longer an advocate of an administration, it is now an adversary of the current administration.”
Very concise, very incisive.
